A geodesy engineer who ended up building the whole stack.
I'm Raihan Makarim Imran, a full-stack & geospatial engineer based in Jakarta, Indonesia. I studied Geodesy & Geomatics Engineering at Institut Teknologi Bandung, and I've spent the years since building software with a map somewhere near the centre of it.
My range runs the full stack: PostGIS and 3D WebGIS on one end, React and Next.js interfaces on the other, and the API contracts and services that hold the two together. I like problems where the domain is genuinely hard, spatial data, messy upstreams, real production traffic, and the interface still has to feel effortless.
The data model comes first
Interfaces are downstream of a sound model. I get the entities, contracts, and invariants right before I make anything pretty, because a beautiful surface over a broken model is still broken.
Only show what is true
I render the fields an API actually returns and surface the gaps honestly, rather than inventing data to match a mockup. Trust in a product is built one honest screen at a time.
Correctness and craft are one bar
I don't treat the feel of a UI as decoration or its correctness as someone else's job. Reusable components, no text wrapping, sizing that holds, motion that's felt more than seen.
Ship it, then keep it honest
Work that isn't deployed isn't finished. I like disciplined branch and release flows, so what reaches production is what was reviewed, on the cadence a team relies on.
